Congratulations to the Pioneer Powerlifting team who competed on Saturday, January 11th in Rio Grande City. We came home with 7 medals from the following lifters:

Girls

Jennifer K. Villarreal placed 3rd in the 105 lb weight class with a total of 595 lbs and has qualified for the regional meet.

Brianna Anzaldua placed 5th in the 132 lb weight class with a total of 625 lbs.

Aisa Saldana placed 4th in the 123 lb weight class with a total of 580 lbs.

Kendra Rodriguez placed 4th in the 181 lb weight class with a total of 685 lbs.

Crystal Palofox placed 3rd in the 220 lb weight class with a total of 855 lbs.

Boys

Luis Garcia placed 1st in the 114 weight class with a total of 780 lbs.

Victor Vasquez placed 3rd in the 114 lb weight class with a total of 635 lbs.

The team competes again this Saturday, January 18th in La Joya at Cesar Chavez Middle School.
