Bio - As you can see from above my name is Marcelino de la Fuente. Most of my students call me "Coach D". This will be my 19th year working for Sharyland ISD. I spent my first three years at Sharyland North Junior High teaching 8th grade ELA as well as coaching football and track. I then spent the next ten years teaching all levels of English and Teen Leadership while coaching Football, Track & Field, and Basketball at Sharyland High School. Currently, I am in my 6th year at Sharyland Pioneer High School teaching English III Honors in the Fall and English 3 AP in the Spring and am the 1st Assistant for YOUR Pioneer Diamondbacks Football team. I am also the Head Boys Track & Field Coach. I graduated from Sharyland High School in 1996 and moved on to receive my college education from the University of Texas Pan American (Go Broncs!). I also hold a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University (Go Cardinals!). I am married to a wonderful woman named Kerri de la Fuente and we have three beautiful daughters named Sofia, Cecilia, and Kylee. Finally, I look forward to this year and all the challenges and uncertainties it brings. Stay positive and I will do everything I can to help you or anyone out.
